If you want something great, hire people who love doing what they are doing and stop being obsessed by the bottom line. At the end of the day, this game reminds us of a simple fact. Game level design, atmosphere, immersion, attention to detail, etc, they are all there in droves. But all the elements that are essential are there. And game developing studios like Arkane Studios are a rarity. In this day an age when, with few exceptions, most games are an online mediocre affair, games like this are a rarity. The gaming industry needs people like them badly. I hope they stick around for a while longer. Too bad these guys are both in their 50's. Progressing through the story was a treat.
